Lake Kissimmee

We went on a two-night camping trip at Lake Kissimmee State Park this weekend. It was a lot of fun, but we got a huge storm on Friday night that dumped 1.4" in about an hour and a half. We found out that the tent we bought last week wasn't very good, and the water was coming in through the seams. We had to use all of our dirty clothes to soak up the water that was getting in.

Other than that we had a lot of fun fishing, hiking, and relaxing. Anabelle did really well for the most part, even in the very loud thunder storm that night. Here are some pics. We saw a lot of cool things like armadillos, wild turkeys, deer (one came right through our camp with its fawn), and some gators (of course).

This guy was literally about two feet away from me scrounging for bugs. They're a lot quicker than I previously thought. Never got him to roll up in a ball though.
This is Sarah's spotted sunfish. She did catch two bass that were bigger than this fish, but this was the only one of these we caught.

I'm not sure if Anabelle really appreciates camping as much as we do.

Craft Project

Last week my friend Carrie and I decided to work on a sewing project because I have been dying to make these cute baby booties. They turned out very well, considering I have a very slight sewing background. They fit Anabelle well, and I am excited to make some other pairs for her in other colors. Aren't they cute!

Dog shirts??

One of our friends gave us this shirt for Arcee last week because they were just going to throw it away otherwise. Neither of us like or even approve of putting clothing on dogs, but while Mike was gone one night I decided I just had to put it on her and take a picture. Pretty funny looking if you ask me, and Arcee hated it!

Anabelle playing with the fun play mat our friends Seth and Carrie let us borrow. Usually she'll end up rolling off of it in about 2 minutes, but she likes the music it plays.

We went to a Marlins game last week with some people from Mike's work, and that was a lot of fun, other than it being so hot and humid that we couldn't stop sweating. It was the first time going to a major league game for us.

So long...

Sorry it has been so long since a posting. We have all of our pictures on our laptop now and I don't use it very often.
Anyway, Anabelle has been growing like crazy. She's 6 1/2 months old now! She has one tooth that has broken through the gums on the bottom and the one right next to it will come through any day now. She's rocking back and forth on her hands and knees, trying her best to crawl. It is so funny to watch because she gets so frustrated when she can't go where she wants. You can see in the top picture that her blonde hair is finally starting to grow in :) We are having a lot of fun with her.

School starts for me next week. I am taking 6 credits and then I will only have one class left to take in the Spring before I can graduate. Hooray!!! So exciting!

Dog-sitting

So we watched our friends' dog Zeus over this last weekend. He's a puppy, too, and he and Arcee just wrestled the entire time. It was nonstop for them, and when they tired of wrestling, they moved on to tug of war (for 45 minutes straight at a time---no letting go). These dogs were serious about it! Arcee is much more bored now that her friend is gone.

Fishing

We went fishing the day before my birthday and I caught 3 fish!! No one else there caught any. It was pretty cool, but I haven't caught any since :( Here's a pic of me with one of the bass I caught.
