Getting ready for our new arrival

So we don't have a bassinet or anything other than our crib, and I wanted to be able to have her sleep in our room. So what did I do...I made one. Guess what I used?? . . . a laundry basket! Aren't I creative? I'm quite impressed with myself, if I may say so.


Here is the last of what we're going to post for my belly pictures. My doctor is going to induce me Wednesday morning, so we will have our sweet baby girl here with us just days! :)

I guess I never will look like I am 9 months pregnant. Oh well. I am really uncomfortable, though, and can hardly wait until she's here. Only a few more days!!!

Nursery

Ok, the nursery is finally finished and ready for our baby girl's arrival! Here are some before and after pictures.

This is the styrofoam wall decorations I made for her room. It was fun making it, although working with styrofoam can be a huge pain. I like how it turned out.

I have had so much fun painting, shopping for, and decorating her bedroom. I love doing things like this, and I feel so accomplished after having finished. I found some amazing deals on her stuff, too. And who'd have ever thought I would use so much pink!! Honestly, avoiding it is nearly impossible when buying for a girl. Pink actually is not so appalling to me anymore. Hooray! Now all we have to wait for is her... :)

Growing Up

We've had Arcee for about two months now, so we thought we would put up a comparison picture between now and then. As you can see, she is not such a puppy anymore.

And this is what we find sometimes when we leave her outside for too long. She likes to dig, so I have to scan the fence line every few days to make sure shes not digging too much.

Last day of work...

Today was my last day at work. I'm excited because that means I'm closer to my due date, but I will really miss everyone there. My kids have been so wonderful, and I have learned so much from working there. The girls I work with are so great! My going away present was a mini-baby shower. They got me a huge basket full of baby stuff (all of which I still needed). They are so wonderful and I will miss them so much. Thanks again girlies!!!

Updates

Okay, so my pregnant belly is finally starting to look like I am going to give birth soon. I have only about 3 weeks left until her due date, and we are so excited!! We've been working on getting her nursery all in order, and it is coming along very well. I'll post pictures of it when it is finished.

This is her travel system. I really love the colors (I love red!) and I like that it is gender neutral. It's crazy to think that she'll be using this in just a couple of weeks.

Merry Late Christmas to everyone. Here are the presents Sarah and I got for each other.
She got me a bunch of tools and a tool box.
I made Sarah a new bed since ours has been falling apart. I carved our names into the head posts. She thought it was pretty cool.
One last thing. Arcee is a lot of fun to play with. She has no ability to brake once she gets up to speed though. Just watch.
