Here it is...

What will it be? A boy or a girl? Only time will tell. We went to the doctors today and I am 13 weeks along. Hooray! I chose to wait until now to share the news with everyone because I wanted to wait until after our first appointment during the second trimester (just to make sure everything is okay). We heard the baby's heartbeat again and the sound of him or her moving. I still can't feel any movements yet, and I'm certainly not showing. I've only gained about a pound. I'm also not struggling much with nausea anymore, which is great!
We are scheduled to have our ultrasound in 3 weeks, so hopefully we can find out what we're having then. We are so thrilled, and it was so fun to hear the heartbeat again today. My due date is February 4, 2009...and we can hardly wait!
So I have officially joined the crew (of pregos or mamas), and gratefully so.

Birthday time!

Yesterday was my birthday...the big 21! Hooray. We didn't do a whole lot to brag about yesterday, but it was still a nice day. We went and saw the movie Baby Mama. It was pretty funny. I do recommend it.
Mike and I are doing well here, and both of us are working now. I finally got a job, for those of you who don't know. I started working last week at Scrapbook Garden, a local large-scale scrapbook store (as you can tell by the name). I have only worked two days, but I like it so far. It's nice to have something to do, and I really enjoy scrapbooking and cardmaking, so it's pretty great to be able to see all the new cool stuff that comes out (although owning it is a different question, of course). I haven't bought anything yet.
Well, that is about all there is to tell for now.

Oh, actually, Mike got a new bike so he can ride it to work. We're really trying to save on gas money, so this should help a lot. Also, my job is close enough (around the corner) that I can just walk, so some days we shouldn't need to drive at all...great! Here is a picture of his handsome new bike.

New Nephew

Megan had her baby Monday night, June 30th. He is so handsome! I just had to share pictures of him.
I didn't get to see him in person because I am so far away in Kansas. But these pictures still capture my heart.

Sedgwick County Zoo

So we went to the zoo a little while ago, and it was a lot of fun. We got to see some really cool animals, some of which I had never seen or heard of before. I thought I would put up some pictures.These spider monkeys were pretty sweet. I caught video of them chasing each other a bit, but they went even more crazy after I stopped recording.


The gorilla habitat was probably my favorite. We were able to get right next to them (of course there was extremely thick glass between us), but it was awesome. Here's a short video.
