Rolling...

So Anabelle can roll over now and absolutely refuses to stay on her belly. Here's a video of the first day she realized she could do this new trick. I tried to upload the video but it wouldn't work. Sorry
She has also found her feet recently and is finally growing in some blond hair. We love her!
Arcee likes to lay and sleep close to Anabelle now. It's pretty cute, but I have to make sure she doesn't lick her all the time.

Ok, it has been long enough since I have posted. Anabelle has been growing strong and is doing so well. She's working on sitting up on her own and rolling over right now. We went to her 4 month appointment yesterday and she weighs in at 13 lbs 12 oz (50%) and 25 1/2 in. long (75%). Here's our cute girl.

The Doc told us to start her on baby cereal. That was fun, and she seemed to enjoy it, although still has some work to do in figuring out how to eat it.

New Car

So we took our Corolla into the Toyota dealership on Saturday to get our A/C fixed. Turns out that the repair would have cost us over $1000, plus they found some serious problems with the engine that would have cost way too much to fix. So we bought a new car instead!!! Here it is. It is a 2007 Toyota Rav4. We thought we'd get a car with a little more room than our Corolla. It is pretty sweet.
The salesmen kept pressuring us to buy it, but we didn't want to spend as much as they were asking, so after being there for like 7 hours working on a deal with them we decided to walk out. As soon as we started walking out the finance manager came out trying everything they could to get us to buy it, and then finally the GM of the car dealership came out and took an extra $3500 of the car. This is after it was already $1000 off the original price for memorial day sales, plus a $2000 trade in credit for our car that wasn't even worth the money it was going to take to repair. In the end, we ended up getting a total discount of about 30% off the original retail price of the car. Not too bad, eh? Anyway, here it is.

We finally moved into our new apartment, and things are coming together. We still have boxes sitting around, but hopefully before too long our place can be clean. We still really enjoy living in Florida, and especially having visitors! Jess, Joe, and the boys came down last Saturday and it was a lot of fun to have them here. We went to the beach and just hang out. Thanks again for coming guys! It was great to have you here.

Diapers??

Ok, so I'm having a hard time finding a diaper that doesn't leak out the top in the back when Anabelle poops. We have tried several brands and still are having this problem. Any suggestions on good diapers would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Florida

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted, but here's a bunch of pictures and updates. Our drive out here to Fort Lauderdale from Wichita was pretty long, but kind of fun. We traveled through Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tenessee, Georgia, and Florida over 3 days. We saw four temples along the way (St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando), stop at the Independence visitors center, and a few cool other stops. It was nice to finally relax when we got to our temporary housing, though. Here are some pictures from the road trip.

We decided to get Arcee a trim shorty after arriving. She was way too hot. So here's the before picture...

They even put little purple bows on her head! Mike wasn't very happy about that. I just burst out laughing once I saw them and had to take a picture.

Our growing girl. She is so cute and getting bigger and smarter every day. Her hands are fascinating to her, and she coos and talks all the time, kicking her legs like crazy. So fun!

We finally made it to the beach on Wednesday evening. It was beautiful. I know that the ocean is salty, but I never imagined coming out of the water with a layer of salt on my teeth. Bleh! The water was pretty nice, an dnot as cold as I expected. I'm excited to go back during the day so it will be warmer and less windy.

I also would like to share how grateful I am for Mike. He works so hard for our family and is such a wonderful example to me and everyone around him. I look up to him and totally adore him. I love you Mike! Thanks for everything you do for me.

Florida???

Yep, we're moving to Florida! Pompano Beach to be exact, which is right outside of Fort Lauderdale. We're leaving next Wednesday to make the long drive (24 hours, which we will break into 3 days). It turns out that driving will save us a TON more money than flying, and we can see some great sites along the way. We'll pass through about 6 states. Mike is really excited about his new job and will start working April 20th. We don't have much time left in Wichita. The biggest thing we have to worry about now is selling our house. If we can't sell it, we'll rent it out.

You never know what's going to happen nowadays...we thought we would be in Wichita for about 5 years. Well, we are thrilled for this new adventure and excited for our new life there. We will live about 5 miles from the beach.

Our trip to Utah went great. Being at my Megan's wedding was so nice. We were also able to go to Tom and Stew's Court of Honor and bless Anabelle with all of our family there.
