A bunch of stuff...

Mike's 24th birthday was on Sunday. We got to spend it watching conference. We went out to eat at Red Robin on Friday, and Mike loved the endless fries. I got him a few cd's and made him a coupon book. I also made him breakfast in bed. It was nice to just relax.

We bought some baby girl clothes at the store and at a garage sale last week, and I am so excited about them. Baby clothes are just so darn adorable. Here they are.
Here is the latest picture of my belly. I have even had a few ladies at work tell me that I'm beginning to walk like a pregnant woman. I can feel a pretty big difference, and feel all stretched out around the mid-section.

I also bought the CUTEST new coat today from Motherhood Maternity. It looks better in person, and has pleats at the waist, so I can wear it throughout pregnancy and when I'm not pregnant. Hooray!

Volunteering for a great cause

This past Saturday, Mike and I volunteered at the Wichita Race for the Cure (for Breast Cancer). They had us go around to people there and ask them to sign the petition to "Vote for the Cure," which is to get politicians to promote Breast cancer research and provide preventative treatment to those all, even those who do not have insurance. It was a great experience, and the third Race for the Cure I have participated in. We forgot to bring our camera, so we don't have any pics. Sorry.

Okay, my belly still isn't much bigger, but here are some pics that were taken about a week ago...I have a very tiny bulge. Yay! I'm not growing very quickly, but I will keep you updated.

Sarah's Growing Up!!!!!!

Guess what everybody? Sarah got her first speeding ticket Tuesday. I'm not supposed to say that she was going 13 over the speed limit, so I won't. Here is a picture of her being so excited for the occasion.
Also, we had the inspection on our home, and everything looks good. Here are some more pics of the house so that all the girls can say "ohhhhh, that's so cute!!".

Craziness!!!!!!!

So, Friday Sept. 12, Wichita set a new record for most rain dumped in a 24 hour period (in Wichita). Between 0100 and 1600 hours (I use military time so that no one gets confused with what times things happened) we got about 8.5" of rain dumped on us. That's not even the whole 24 hour period!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The previous record was 7.99". Check these out.

Just thought you guys would like to see how Wichita is under water. I'm glad for two things.

1) Right now we live on the third floor
2) Our new home doesn't have a basement.

By the way, Sarah hasn't been keeping up with the posting lately because she hasn't been feeling well. She found out today that she has a sinus infection, and the doctor gave her some medicine, so hopefully she will be feeling a bit better soon.

Home

This is the home we are under contract for. If things progress as they should, we will close on November 6th. We'll have a home inspection next week, and hopefully things will work out well. We are so excited and wanted to share our news with everyone. I am so excited about this home, and I think it is adorable. I'll try to get some more pictures up if I can.

The Goings-On

Okay, so it's been almost a week since I've posted. And it's been a pretty busy one at that. Both Mike and I got sick Wednesday and have been feeling pretty crummy since then. Thursday was the worst! I felt like death. We have cold/flu symptoms (but no fevers). I think I must have contracted it at work, where germs crawl around like crazy. Little kids just contract and spread germs like nobody's business. My job is great, though. I love the kids, and I'm really enjoying it. I am very busy with school, trying to keep up with all of the reading that comes with online classes. I've pretty much just been working by deadlines, and since I have a good track record of procrastinating, I should fare well...hopefully.

On another note, some of you know that we've been house hunting now for about a month. We think we may have finally found the one. We put an offer on it today, and we are so excited. I loved it immediately, and so did Mike, and we feel really good about it. I will update more about it once we find out more/if they accept our contract. We could be moving into our first home by mid-October! YAY. Sorry there's no pictures on this one
